About the Project

Nanotech Studios is headed by musician Douglas R. Bell, a multi-instrumentalist specializing in composing and arranging, music education, and sheet music publishing.

Nanotech Studios, formerly known as Vintage Modern Remixes, was founded in 2020. The studio focuses on remastering electronic music from the late '90s and early 2000s PC gaming scene, with YouTube as its main online home.

Douglas also developed Marshmallow Doom, a Doom source port adding many fun new features such as bot players, randomizers, and a dynamic music system, all while staying in the spirit of 1993.

The LameSpy.org Network

Nanotech Studios created the LameSpy.org Network to promote and revive classic PC games from the late ’90s and early 2000s. The network brings players together and helps them return to the multiplayer games they love, keeping these communities alive.

LameSpy also offers a native Windows server browser in the spirit of GameSpy, getting you back in the game with classics such as Unreal, Deus Ex, SiN, Shogo: Mobile Armor Division, and more.
